From his early career in the UK through 15 years building and running a regional managed services business across Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and China, the constant has been a belief that the right technology, applied with clarity, solves real problems. That orientation — practical, operational, outcome-focused — is what he brings to every engagement. His understanding of this region goes beyond the professional. After a decade working across IT infrastructure and networking projects in the UK and internationally, he spent 2009-10 travelling extensively across Asia — not on a business trip itinerary, but immersed in the geography and the people. He never left. His wife is Malaysian, his family is rooted here, and 15 years of building a business across multiple Southeast and East Asian markets has given him a layered understanding of how organisations actually operate in these cultures — the decision-making dynamics, the partner ecosystems, and the local realities that don't appear in market reports. That breadth — a UK-trained technology career, field experience across Europe, the US, and Asia, and genuine personal roots in the region — shapes how he works as a fractional CTO and strategic advisor. He brings technical depth alongside real cultural fluency, and a network of industry partners and connections built across years of advising organisations from small businesses through to larger enterprise clients.
